Non-Destructive Testing - Waukesha Foundry offers complete in-house non-destructive examination and testing with a highly qualified staff of experienced testing inspectors who have ASNT Level II or SNT-TC-1A Level III certifications. Capabilities include: Radiographic inspection with either a 300kv X-ray unit or a Cobalt 60 source for materials up to six inches thick Magnetic particle inspection - wet fluorescent method Liquid penetrant inspection - water washable visible dye method Chemical and Metallurgical Testing - Our advanced testing facilities are equipped to perform chemical and mechanical properties testing as well as corrosion and metallographic inspections. We utilize a wide variety of state-of-the-art testing processes, including: Mechanical (tensile) Chemical Analysis (including carbon, oxygen and nitrogen) Embrittlement Charpy Hardness Corrosion Test Weldability Microstructure Heat Treat Certs and Charts Coefficient of Thermal Expansion Armor per MIL-A-11356 Rev. E Ductile Iron (C&P plus micro) Grain Size |
