Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Waukesha Foundry offers complete in-house nondestructive examination and testing with a highly qualified staff of experienced testing inspectors who have ASNT Level II or SNT-TC-1A Level III certifications. Capabilities include: - Radiographic inspection with either a 300kv X-ray unit or a Cobalt 60 source for materials up to six inches thick - Magnetic particle inspection - wet fluorescent method - Liquid penetrant inspection - water washable visible dye method Chemical and Metallurgical Testing Our advanced testing facilities are equipped to perform chemical and mechanical properties testing as well as corrosion and metallographic inspections. We utilize a wide variety of state-of-the-art testing processes, including: - Mechanical (tensile) - Chemical Analysis (including carbon, oxygen and nitrogen) - Embrittlement - Charpy - Hardness - Corrosion Test - Weldability - Microstructure - Heat Treat Certs and Charts - Coefficient of Thermal Expansion - Ductile Iron (C&P plus micro) - Grain Size |
